1. INTRODUCTION
This Privacy Policy explains how MeterMosaic handles information in its Android application. MeterMosaic is an offline utility-meter reading, consumption history, usage planning and bill-estimate tool. It is not a service operated by an electricity, water, or gas provider. This policy describes the current app source implementation.
2. INFORMATION YOU PROVIDE
You may enter utility-meter names and types, display units, meter readings and dates, billing-day settings, rollover or reset details, notes, tariff and tax settings, reading history, usage targets, and bill amounts. You may also select settings such as country, theme and sorting preference. The app uses this information to calculate usage, show estimates and trends, compare your recorded bills, and produce your requested exports and backups.
3. LOCAL STORAGE AND DATA TRANSMISSION
User-entered meter, reading, tariff, and bill records are stored in an on-device Room database; preferences and usage targets are stored in local app preferences. The current app does not request Android INTERNET permission, use an account or login, connect to a developer-run backend, or include advertising or analytics SDKs. It does not automatically upload these records to Boise Car Wash LLC or third parties. It does not request payment card details or banking credentials.
4. EXPORTS, BACKUPS AND RESTORE
You can manually export reports as PDF or CSV files and create or restore local JSON backups using the Android system document picker. Your exported files may include the meter, reading, bill, tariff, note and usage-target information you entered. You control where files are stored and whether you share or copy them. These backups are not encrypted by the app. Keep them in a safe location and delete external copies separately when no longer needed. If you choose a third-party storage provider in Android's document picker, that provider's practices govern the destination you select; the app itself does not automatically sync files.
5. SUPPORT COMMUNICATION
The Contact Support action opens a compatible email application with an address directed to info@boisecarwash.site. No support email is automatically sent. If you choose to send a message, its contents, your email address and any information you include are processed by your email provider and received by the support mailbox for the purpose of responding to your inquiry. Your selected email provider has its own privacy practices.
6. THIRD-PARTY CONTENT AND SERVICES
The current app bundles its artwork and does not fetch online pictures or web-based content. It uses standard Android system interfaces for local document creation, selection and sharing. The app does not use third-party analytics, advertising or remote storage APIs in this version.
7. DATA RETENTION AND DELETION
Your app-local records remain on your device until you edit or delete them, clear all app records from Settings, clear app data through Android, or uninstall the app, subject to Android device behavior. Clearing in-app records does not remove separate PDFs, CSV files, JSON backups or copies that you stored outside the app. You must manage those external copies at their saved location. The app is configured to disable automatic Android application backups.
8. PERMISSIONS
The current version does not require location, camera, microphone, contacts, SMS or broad storage permissions. Android's system document picker allows you to choose files or export destinations without granting blanket access to device storage. Core meter-tracking features work without an internet connection.
9. SECURITY
The Android application stores its local database and app preferences in app-private storage, subject to the protection offered by your device and Android operating system. Files you export are outside that app-private area and may be readable by any person or application granted access to their saved location. Exported JSON backups are not encrypted by MeterMosaic. No storage or security measure offers an absolute guarantee.
10. CHILDREN AND SENSITIVE CONTENT
MeterMosaic is a general-purpose meter-recording utility, not a product designed to solicit information from children. Please avoid placing passwords, financial account credentials, or other unnecessarily sensitive information in free-text notes.
11. POLICY UPDATES
If the app's functions or information practices change, this policy may be revised, with an updated date. Please review the version available inside the app or on the developer's published privacy-policy page.
